Liver cancer is a major health problem and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is considered one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide. It is associated with many liver diseases such as Hepatitis B and C, excessive alcohol intake, MASH and MASLD.
Due to this fact, ELPA devotes the whole month of October 2019 to share awareness, information, and important data regarding HCC with its followers.
ELPA is constantly calling out to our stakeholders, industry, health institutions to help us raise awareness among the wider population. The 2019 campaign had great visibility and ELPA received many positive feedbacks from its supporters and stakeholders creating also a positive impact on the health-care professionals and patients' communities.
Because of the significant success obtained in 2019, ELPA decided not only to continue on the same fruitful path, but we also wanted to be more ambitious. Indeed, in October 2020 ELPA, to make its engagement deeper and broader, launches a website entirely dedicated to liver cancer. Besides raising understanding of this challenging disease during the Liver Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM), this website aims at:
- Going beyond October 2020 thanks to a section dedicated to all the upcoming activities (link to the section EVENTS) ELPA will organize in the field of education, awareness, and advocacy. ELPA believes that the fight should last more than one month.
- Reaching everybody: stakeholders, patients, families, the general audience need to fight together. Many materials (linked to the section Media centre) can be downloaded from the website, personalized, and shared. ELPA believes that together we are stronger.
Join us and be part of ELPA’s big family fighting liver cancer!
